Changes in technology are making all things new, but housing somehow remains the same, ...until now that is. Recent studies into how building's function are providing incredible insights into how designers, builders and homeowners can make better use of resources to make homes healthier more durable and more comfortable. Alan Carson will take us through an interesting discussion of how our understanding of building science is affecting our lives and our profession.

Details

Alan Carson co-founded Carson Dunlop with Bob Dunlop in 1978 and has focused on the home inspection profession since then. Alan has a Bachelor of Science degree — General Science and Business from the University of Waterloo. He is a Past President of the American Society of Home Inspectors and the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors.

Alan is the author or a co-author of Carson Dunlop’s Home Inspection Training Program, the Home Reference Book, the Illustrated Home and the Technical Reference Guide. He was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2017.

   

Yorke Brown, Phd recieved his Bachelor of Science degree form Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his Phd from the University of Virginia. He has taught at SUNY Binghamton, Dartmouth and Harvard. We look forward to Dr. Brown sharing his expertise and perhaps his busting a few myths.
