This section is optional at this time - especially if you are suggesting a Speaker. The Speaker can, at a later date, complete it when he or she logins to edit their Speaker Profile.
Title: Provide the title of the presentation as you would like it to appear (eight words or less). The main goal is to be descriptive of the session's content, yet catchy.
If you select [Seminar Educational Speaker], then you MUST complete the Formal Request section.
This section is reserved for formal presentations. All fields are required.
Materials: For each proposal, submit a 100-word abstract and session outline to help the reviewing committee get an idea of what the full presentation will look like. The materials you submit should be
designed to "sell" your proposal to the committee.
Objectives: List three primary learning objectives. These objectives tell us if your presentation fits the program needs.
Essentials Track (for beginning home inspectors; fundamentals of performing a home inspection)
Advanced Technical Track (advanced techniques / home components / "not your typical")
Specialty/Diversification Track (energy, mold, pest, lead, radon, infrared, commercial, safety etc.)
Business Management Track (how to run your business: marketing, office, website, etc.)
Tracking: Under which educational track does the presentation fall?
Length: Most sessions are 1 - 2 hours in length. Estimate the length of your presentation.
Formal Powerpoint Presentation
Format: Most sessions are classroom style lectures. What is your preferred format?
Co-Presenter: Name(s), telephone(s), and email(s) of any co-presenters. Enter one per line in this format: John Smith, 123-456-7890, email@example.com
Compensation: Note that compensation, if any, may consist of hotel room nights and conference registration. Your compensation package will be discussed at the time of notification of acceptance.
OWNERSHIP OF PRESENTATION. If your proposal is selected, in the Speaker Agreement you will be asked to release your presentation materials to ASHI for use at InspectionWorld (conference CD, advance handouts, audio recording),
and for subsequent use by ASHI. Please indicate in Comments box if you have any concerns about these uses of your presentation materials by ASHI and they will be noted.
